This fall marked an exciting season for our Youth Program, with record participation in our life skills offerings. Youth engaged in a wide range of workshops designed to build independence, confidence, and connection.
Throughout fall, workshops focused on:
- Financial literacy
- Mental health supports
- Meal planning and nutrition
- Housing assistance
- Family and community connections
- Youth criminal record information
One of the most popular offerings was our four-week virtual cooking program. Participants independently grocery shopped, prepared weekly meals together, and shared in a supportive, engaging learning environment. The program was filled with skill-building, laughter, and collaboration, and concluded with a final session inspired and hosted by one of the youth participants.
Looking ahead, workshops will continue throughout the winter and spring, including multi-week programs in Financial Literacy and Housing.
We extend a special thank you to our community partners who hosted workshops this fall. Their time, expertise, and commitment made these opportunities possible. Because of their involvement, youth experienced meaningful support and the strength of community working together.
