Lincoln Whittaker exemplifies these qualities through his extraordinary dedication as a volunteer driver with York Region CAS. Since 2007, Lincoln has devoted more than 19 years to supporting vulnerable children, youth, and families, showing up time and again with reliability, kindness, and care.
Volunteer drivers play a vital role in helping children and youth safely access services, appointments, and connections. For many, these moments can feel overwhelming or uncertain. Lincoln goes beyond simply providing transportation. He offers a reassuring presence, a familiar face, and a sense of stability during times of change.
Known for his warm personality, friendly smile, and positive spirit, Lincoln approaches every interaction with humility and compassion. His unwavering commitment helps foster a sense of safety and trust for those he serves. For Lincoln, volunteering is more than a responsibility. Lincoln was honoured on June 12, 2026, in Newmarket, where he received the award in the presence of his family, fellow York Region CAS staff, and other community recipients.
