The Indigenous Child and Family Well-Being Conference took place from January 23-25, on the Anishinaabe Algonquin Territory at the Shaw Centre in Ottawa.
The Conference is an annual gathering fostering cultural connections and knowledge sharing. Experts, leaders, and advocates collaborate to promote wholistic well-being, weaving traditional wisdom with modern approaches in child and family well-being.
Participants engaged with a dynamic mix of keynotes, workshops, and social hours to explore innovative and traditional ways to provide child & family well-being services. The conference was an opportunity to hear from, connect and collaborate with thought leaders, advocates and subject matter experts in the field of child & family well-being. From data sovereignty to First Nations law making, to honouring the voices of young people, this year’s program was one for the books!
York Region CAS was honoured to take part in such an amazing conference! 🧡
