Throughout March, we proudly join the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW) in celebrating National Social Work Month and Social Work Week, taking place from March 2–8, 2026. This annual recognition highlights the essential contributions social workers make across Ontario in schools, healthcare, community agencies, child protection, and beyond.
This Year’s Theme: Care. Insight. Together.
The 2026 theme captures the core strengths of the profession:
- Care — offering compassionate, person‑centred support.
- Insight — bringing expertise, critical thinking, and lived understanding to complex situations.
- Together — collaborating with individuals, families, and communities to foster hope, resilience, and meaningful change.
Social workers are there when people face grief, trauma, mental health challenges, systemic inequities, and major life transitions—providing guidance, connection, and stability during difficult moments. Their work is vital in strengthening families, improving mental health outcomes, and supporting safer, healthier communities.
Honouring Their Impact
OASW invites everyone to reflect on the unique stories and skills that define the profession and to participate in events and learning opportunities throughout March. Social workers continue to advocate for accessible mental health supports and remain committed to ensuring no one has to navigate life’s challenges alone.
To all the social workers and child protection workers at our Agency and beyond — thank you for your tireless efforts and for being the voice of change!
