York Region CAS was proud to participate in the Information and Privacy Commissioner (IPC) of Ontario’s From Insights to Impacts workshop series on April 1, 2026, focused on Part X of the CYFSA.
Our Agency’s Director of Legal Services, Alison Moonsie Mohan, joined a dynamic panel of sector voices tasked with identifying practical solutions to real-world challenges faced by practitioners. Panelists included Michael Miller (ED, ANCFSAO), Jodi Potts (Privacy Lead & Service Relations Supervisor, Durham CAS), Maxx Behrens (Youth Advocate), and Alison in her roles as Co‑Chair of the Senior Counsel Network Group and a York Region CAS representative.
Moderated by Solomon Owoo, CEO of OACAS, the session welcomed contributions from IPC Commissioner Patricia Kosseim and Assistant Commissioner Mike Maddock, with nearly 800 participants from across the sector. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive and reinforced the importance of collaboration, clarity, and shared learning under Part X of the CYFSA.
