Thank You to the Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada
York Region Children’s Aid Society and York Region Children’s Fund (YRCF) is proud and grateful to share that we have successfully received a grant from the Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada (CAFC) as part of the 2025–2026 Ted and Loretta Rogers Foster Care Comfort Kit Program.
Through this generous funding, YRCF received a total of 40 Foster Care Comfort Kits, designed to support children and youth as they enter foster care. Each comfort kit is thoughtfully packed in a backpack and includes essential items such as a blanket, teddy bear, loofah, school supplies, and toiletries—helping promote comfort, wellbeing, and a sense of security during what can be a challenging and unfamiliar time.
This grant plays a vital role in improving the experience of children and youth entering foster care by ensuring they have personal belongings of their own and access to necessities right from the start.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada for their continued commitment to supporting vulnerable children and youth. These comfort kits will have a lasting impact, helping young people in foster care feel seen, supported, and cared for as they begin a new chapter in their lives.
