From May to June 2025, the York Region CAS Family Intervention Team (FIT) proudly delivered the Circle of Security Parenting™ (COSP) program over an 8-week period at our Newmarket office.
This evidence-based program is designed for parents and caregivers of children aged six and under and offers a safe, supportive space to:
✅ Understand children’s emotional needs and behaviours.
✅ Reflect on their own parenting experiences and responses.
✅ Strengthen parent-child relationships through secure attachment.
✅ Build confidence and connection in their parenting journey.
Throughout the sessions, participants engaged in meaningful discussions, explored real-life challenges, and gained new tools to support their children’s emotional development.
Watch the video below to learn more about how the COSP program helped participants grow not only as parents, but as individuals — offering insight, encouragement, and a stronger sense of connection to their children.
York Region CAS is committed to supporting families in creating nurturing, responsive relationships that build lifelong emotional security.
The Family Intervention Team will be hosting their next session this October!
