Every October,
Children's Aid Societies across Ontario raise awareness about the important role individuals and communities play in supporting vulnerable children, youth, and families through the Ontario Dress Purple Day campaign. On Dress Purple Day, Ontarians are called to wear purple to show children, youth, and families that they are here to help! For more information about the campaign, please visit: http://www.oacas.org/dresspurpleday/.

This year, Dress Purple Day will take place on Tuesday, October 27, 2020.

National Foster Family Week
is celebrated across Canada during the third full week of October. The week honours and recognizes foster families for their dedication, love, and commitment to children and youth in care. If you or someone you know is interested in fostering, please visit www.fosteringatyork.com or contact York Region Children's Aid Society for more information.

November is Adoption Awareness Month.
Every child deserves to be loved, adored, and to have a forever family. To learn more about adoption, and if it might be the right choice for your family, please visit www.yorkcas.org/adoption.asp.
