A phone call to us will bring help to a child
who is being or at-risk of being abused or neglected. If you suspect

We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
When you call about a child protection concern, you will
be able to speak to a child protection worker.
The person you will speak with has the expertise to help
you. The worker will ask for some information, including the child's
name, age and whereabouts, and why you are concerned about the child's
safety or wellbeing.
If there is child welfare issue, a worker will investigate
to decide if the child needs to be protected by the CAS or if they would
benefit from additional community supports and services.
Each family and child is entitled to their privacy. We cannot
provide information about the status of a referral or investigation without
the written consent of the family involved.
