On March 8, York Region CAS celebrates International Women’s Day.
This year, the Government of Canada’s theme for International Women’s Day is Every Woman Counts.
York Region CAS would like to celebrate all women within our community and around the world. International Women’s Day serves as a reminder that all women, from all ages and walks of life, have a place in every aspect of society, including in the economic, social, and democratic spheres.
York Region CAS would also like to recognize the women in our workplace – many of whom wear different hats. You all matter, as frontline workers, CEOs, leaders, mothers, wives, grandmothers, sisters, aunts, protectors and nurturers, encouragers, and supporters of those in your area of influence.
Let’s celebrate the successful women around us, reminding today’s youth and girls that their dreams are within reach.
